The process of creating a Dhakai Jamdani saree is highly labor-intensive and can take several months to complete. It involves skilled weavers working on a traditional pit loom, where they interweave cotton threads to create beautiful motifs and patterns on the saree. The designs are first drawn on paper and then translated onto the saree using small wooden frames, known as ''jala''. These frames are used to create the intricate patterns by passing the cotton threads through them. This process is repeated for each motif on the saree, resulting in a stunning and unique piece of art.
